Telethon Little Star - Ultimate Dream Party

Telethon Little Star - Ultimate Dream Party

ULTIMATE DREAM PARTY
Where it all began….
For as long as I can remember, I have watched and supported Telethon in my home town of Perth, WA. I have always been inspired and deeply touched by the Telethon Little Stars.  Being a mother of two boys who both started their lives in NICU, my husband and I have a great appreciation for the care and medical attention they received. This intensive and high dependency care for the sickest babies and infants is all possible thanks to research and funding for medical equipment.
Since 1968 Western Australians have raised over $349 million through Telethon for the kids of WA. The money raised has helped make significant advances in treating some of the life threatening diseases that face our children today. Telethon also provides equipment, resources and critical services for children across Western Australia. (ref. telethon.com)
Each year, telethon selects two children to be ambassadors who represent all the kids of WA. In 2018, Kaide Stratton & Charlotte Meredith where selected to be the ‘Telethon Little Stars’.
In 2012, I founded Favor Lane Party Boutique and like any new business owner, I set myself some future business goals. One of those goals was to somehow, offer more than my usual yearly donation to telethon. In October 2018, my dream to do so became a reality. In the months leading up to Telethon I reached out to the Operations & Communications Manager at Channel 7 Telethon Trust. I suggested gifting the 2018 Telethon Little Stars with an Ultimate Dream Party Package and my offer was gladly accepted.
I contacted a number of fellow Perth party and event industry vendors whom I have worked with over the years  and hold in very high steed. As a collective we formed the Favor Lane ‘Dream Team’ and gifted both Kaide & Charlotte with an Ultimate Dream Party Package. The first party to take place, was for Charlotte which was the celebration of her 8th birthday.  The package included the design, concept, planning and coordination of a fully styled party. Full Desserts which were professionally styled including a custom single tier birthday cake with a personalised cake topper. All furniture and props were provided and styled accordingly. A professional photographer captured the party set up and Charlotte having the time of her life with family and friends.
Charlotte’s story….

Charlotte was born with Congenital Heart Disease, diagnosed with Pulmonary Atresia with hypoplastic right ventricle.  Charlotte her first of several heart operations, when she was only eight days old. At 10 months of age Charlotte had her second surgery and her first open heart surgery. Further surgery took place at 18 months of age and at almost 5 years old Charlotte had the completion of her Fontan.
Charlotte has an amazing zest for life and we feel so honoured to have shared her 8th birthday with her. It was such a pleasure to meet her parents, Simon and Taryn, and little sister Caitlyn.
The Party Starts Here ….
Charlotte wanted her and her friends to be able to put on a special dress on the party day and look pretty. It seemed that a Glamour Party with her BBF’s was the perfect theme to go with. With pretty pastel pink, peach, lilac and blush tones as a base, we added touches of Gold to glam things up a notch. There was even a nail bar where we used fruit scented. An absolute hit, for Charlotte and her girl gang!

A photobooth was an absolute must so we called on the girls from Epic Installs to create a stunning streamer wall backdrop which was made complete with a ‘strike a pose’ neon sign by The Neon Cove.  The girls posed for the event photographer Lifa Wall using lots of fun shaped balloons and photo props from Favor Lane.

Being a glamour theme, it was easy to go crazy with the desserts. The very talented Niknaks Sweetest Treats created nail polish bottle cake pops, brushstroke macarons, fudge, lolly encrusted donuts and gold leaf lollipops.

And check out those lashes on Sweet Daisy May’s blushing heart cookies. Made to match, Favor Lane’s blushing heart napkins.
We can’t forget the glamorous cupcakes though which were also made by Sweet Daisy May

Then there was the CAKE! Oh my, to say that Sugar + Salt Cookies created yet another head turning cake. It was seriously too pretty to cut.

All of these desserts were displayed and styled by Opulenticity Party Styling on a gorgeous Candy Cart from Stylish Soirees. Check out that clever macaron stand by XOXO design who also provided the Acrylic Donut Wall.
The candy cart was beautifully finished off with the most stunning cascading balloon garland. Balloons, Balloon garland assembly and installation was by Stylish Soirees Perth.

Alongside the candy cart was a light up number 8 by Lit Letters Perth and a round mesh backdrop and acrylic plinths which were supplied by Darlings Day Out. Barley Boy kindly donated the adorable custom acrylic name sign which was gifted to Charlotte as a keepsake to place on her bedroom wall.
Also provided by Barley Boy was the entry signage ‘the party starts here’ and easel.
The girls were seated on the sweetest pink cross back chairs by Allegra & Grace Chairs, who also provided the childrens trestle tables and pink eames chairs for the nail bar.
The table was set with tableware, glitter crowns and favour boxes from Favor Lane Party.

The favour boxes were complimented by a gold left lollipop by Niknaks Sweetest Treats.

The girls also received a personalised gold mirror acrylic name plaque made by XOXO Design.

The party took place in a local community centre. The venue hire cost was kindly donated by Perth Award Winning Real Estate Agent Liz De Cinque.
